Tecnocupole Pancaldi comprises two macro production departments – skylights and aluminium frames – that in turn are made up of various departments responsible for the different production stages.
The skylights are made from flat polycarbonate or methacrylate sheets subjected to thermoforming, i.e. the sheets are heated and moulded by means of groove-and-tongue moulds.
The thermoforming technique has been improved thanks to the expertise gained from the '50s to the present day, and also thanks to the use of advanced machinery operated through software containing archives of ad hoc programs for the various materials and moulds used.
At the end of the thermoforming process, the moulded sheets are trimmed in a 5-axis cutting centre which is also operated through specific software for each different type of moulding. The skylights are completed in the assembly department, where the external and internal glazing are joined and the ordered article is assembled and prepared for shipping.
For the production of aluminium frames, aluminium sections are pierced and cut at Emmegi spa’s ‘Quadra’ working centre.
The semi-manufactured sections are fitted with a gasket and assembled by caulking.
At the end of this working, the hinges are mounted and the lower and upper frames are assembled. The ordered item is completed by fixing the opening accessories and shipped.
Tecnocupole Pancaldi also comprises a pneumatics department, where local and remote operation devices for smoke and heat control systems are assembled and tested.
This department tests 100% of the production.
Beside the in-house production departments, Tecnocupole Pancaldi counts 10 two-person teams employed in laying skylights, smoke and heat control systems and remote operation systems.
